Ellen Degeneres reveals what's really important

I can't stress enough the importance of confidence. If you have confidence in yourself, then you don't look for anything from anybody else. But when you're in a place of not feeling good about yourself, you need somebody else to make you feel better. And so you allow that person to talk you into things. Now I'm sure of who I am, and I think that makes a better relationship for both people. Lifetime Magazine 4/04
